Rachael Ivtsan
Rachael started quite late her riding career. In 2004 she came to the Netherlands to buy a horse, but after that she keeps coming back to train at Bert Rutten’s place. Over there she learned everything she needed to know to compete with Falco, her first Grand Prix companion. A few years later a friend of Rachael saw a horse on a competition which might be a good match. "That is how I met Sandro Success (s. Sandro Hit). I could not wish for a better schoolmaster then Sandro. But he was not easy and often I came back from a competition crying. He was an amazing mirror and taught me how to really train horses. At this moment he is retired from competitions, but he is still the king of the stables." Rachael is strongly passionate about training horses. "Every horse deserves an honest change." She loves every horse. Rachael trained with Bert Rutten, Alex van Silfhout and Rieky Young. With her accumulated experience Rachael trained numerous horses to all levels including Grand Prix including Glamour Times, Fleetwood Mac and Edie. Rachael provides to clients horse purchase consultancy, horse and rider training to all levels.

Horses have always been a part of my life. From the moment I began riding at the age of four, I spent every free minute at the stables, completely captivated by these incredible animals. At the age of 25, I fulfilled my childhood dream and bought my own horse—a decision that changed my life in ways I could never have imagined.
This special horse not only brought me to Portugal but also deepened my appreciation for the profound connection between rider and horse—a bond built on trust, understanding, and mutual respect. This journey has shaped who I am and continues to inspire me every single day.
